What's New Friday
oh my gosh yesterday was absolutly beautiful here after all the horrible rain we had. It was 74 here yesterday and sunny and today is suppose to be more of the same.. Of course all of you that know me know what that makes me want to do. So i contented myself with moving some perennials around in the flower beds. lol .
Put up a couple of arches and cleaned out and got running two of my ponds and the big fountain. Have the front pond to get cleaned out and ready today. Will have to go to Lowes and buy a new pump for that one. It quit right at the end of fall last year and i didnt go replace it then , should have it would have probably been cheaper then than now.
One pond that we had out front kept everytime that it rained hard coming out of the ground because of run off so we are going to fill in that hole and put it another place. Really the place i wanted to put it in the first place.
dont know what the rest of the week end holds probably will be cold and rainy on Sunday so got to get busy. Make hay while the sun shines as they say.
Everyone enjoy their week end and remember the Reason for this wonderful Season ,

Good Morning Annette, Annie and Gang,
Well I am up and getting ready to go into work.
Tevia is wondering how Annie is fairing?
Tevia decided to get into the closet and get the toilet paper out and roll it all over the house last night!!!!! He had 5 rolls everywhere. A Kodak moment. I should have took a picture but didnt catch him in the act.
Tevia baught Annie a presant but Ill bring it to Pittsburgh. He said he cant wait till she gets it.
Anyway hope all is well.
Carla
Carla,
Annie hasn't been able to post much because my computer is having a break down. Tom has been working on it but I can't always get the posts to send.
As he was fiddling with, Annie perched on his shoulders and fell asleep.
Tell Tevia she says "HELLO" and good job with the toilet paper.
Okay, let's try to send this message. Darned OLD computer.
Kisses
Annie and Annette
Good Morning Sweet Annette.....Wow that was creepy! ...but you showed your usual good sense. People like that take advantage of our instinct to be nice to everyone.....you were very smart to hustle away and not interact.....
Yesterday evening I went to a "Private Showing" for some new upscale real estate condominiums.....they were beautiful, and they had these incredible kitchens....and a private chef with his staff.....there was such a-mazing food.......it was a little frustrating that I just could barely have room to taste a few things.....but the "Smoked Bershire Pork Shoulder" was little tiny sweet potato biscuits with smoke pulled pork with cherry BBQ sauce.....they had also amazing roast beef tenderloin with creamed horseradish sauce....they also had a "Wisconsin Artisan Cheese Board with incredible cheeses , some I have never heard of, but you know what they call cheese..."the fat man's candy"....so I had one of each of those....they also had some real hand made Truffles.....Fire ones made with ancho chili and cinnamon..and Ice ones of dark chocolate and peppermint......my girlfriend said they were "incredible"...but by that time I could not get anything else down....and I can't believe this came out of my mouth...."let's go walk some of this off"....my girlfiriend is tall and thin and very hyper so loved the idea........I felt like I was a judge on Top Chef.......
Later I went to Holy Thursday Mass....and it was so beautiful....it was just what I needed......all the meaningful ceremonies were very special...the story of the Passover...and the washing of the feet...Mike, representing the people of the Church, had his feet washed by the Priest.......I was even in the procession [with the Bishop and 6 Priests, 4 children that were servers, 2 Readers, and 3 of us that carried the new oils for the Church. I carried the Oil of the Sick.] Afterwards I sat and prayed with the Holy Euchrist for awhile [there was a vigil until 11:00 pm last night] You know I prayed for all of you......as you all mean so much to me.
Today we are expecting 6-8 inches of snow.....lots of people around here are saying 'bring it on", we just need 8 more inches to reach 100 inches of snow this winter. Good thing we don't have very many rivers around here....we have 4 lakes in our city, but lakes don't flood.....I feel so sorry for all the people suffering from floods this spring.....we are fortunate our 92 inches of snow is melting slowly...not all at once. I think about Jan C. all the time with this flooding....hope she is not involved. It is snowing and blowing right now.......sure hope I will be able to get to Church today, but it is really nasty out.
Hope you are having a great day.
Hugs, Marti

"Be kinder than necessary, for everyone is fighting some kind of battle"
Marti it would have to get really deep to get to us. We live above the lake that was rolling and tumbling yesterday. We have a friend that has a beautiful log home on the banks of a small (normally)creek and she had to be evacuated Tuesday. I am so sad for her about her house and all her nice things she has inside. There were lots of people that had to be evacuated from low lying places and lots of roads and valleys flooded but where we live is a top a big big hill. would have to come a Noah flood to really get us. Thanks for worrying about me tho that is so sweet. Im glad you are feeling better about all the sadness you have now. I keep thinking about your friend too. So sad.
